Generator field repair technician position available at Echo Electric, a Sonepar company, based out of Ankeny, IA. The role involves startup, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of standby generators and related equipment. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with variations based on customer needs.

Responsibilities include performing repairs, startups, troubleshooting, and maintenance on standby generator systems, providing updates to the generator team, making recommended repairs known to the customer base, and maintaining good customer relations. Participation in onsite project reviews, open houses, and trade shows is also required.

Qualifications include proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for equipment repair, strong understanding of mechanical systems, ability to lift heavy equipment safely, experience in vehicle maintenance, familiarity with schematics, sales skills, and previous experience as a service technician or mechanic.
