Role DefinitionThe Millwright will install, maintain, repair, retrofit, and/or remove machinery and equipment on construction sites, industrial facilities, and/or at our fabrication shop. Millwright services performed may include machine layout, setting and assembly, precision alignment, rigging, conveyance, structure assembly, custom fabrication, welding, maintenance and troubleshooting, start‑up support, preventative maintenance, disconnecting and relocating piping, spouting and chute work, installing pneumatic gravity‑fed material handling piping.
The Millwright will adhere to blueprint plans, schematic drawings, or manufactured specifications to produce the best end product for the customer. This role profile is subject to change at any time.
- Compliance with safety policies, conduct daily workplace inspections, identify and correct hazards.
- Maintain, install, repair, improve, and troubleshoot all systems, equipment, and machinery for optimal safe working order according to blueprints, schematic drawings, and/or manufacturer guidelines.
- Plan preventative maintenance programs and foster continuous improvement through ongoing safety and educational trainings.
- Perform material handling and conveyance, machine setting, alignment, rigging, welding, custom fabrication, and dust control across multiple industries.
- Operate heavy industrial equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, boom lifts, gantry cranes, pneumatic wrenches, and all‑terrain reach lifts; troubleshoot equipment defects and share solutions.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner and bridge communication with all departments and customers to ensure job completion to customer satisfaction.
- Mechanical aptitude to disconnect, rebuild, or relocate piping, spouting, and chute work, and install pneumatic and gravity‑fed material handling systems.
- Operate heavy industrial equipment and troubleshoot equipment defects, researching and sharing proper solutions.
- Participate as a team member on job site and attend team meetings and training to ensure safety measures are used.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and/or 3 years of education in industrial maintenance technologies/trade specific training.
- Welding and rigging certifications preferred.
- Preventative maintenance, fabrication, and sheet metal experience a plus.
- Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays and weekends as demanded by the job (10‑day on and 4‑day off schedule).
- Per diem for heavy travel; relocation not required but optional.
- OSHA 10‑Hour certification preferred; required to complete within the first two days of employment if not already held.
- 100% travel required.
- Exert 50–100 pounds force occasionally, 25–50 pounds force frequently, 10–20 pounds force constantly.
- Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking.
- Frequently requires standing, fine dexterity, sitting, and handling.
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, work in confined spaces, and in proximity to loud equipment.
- Must be able to work in cold/hot environments and on concrete floors.
- Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching.
- Must wear personal protective gear most of the day.
- Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain and stand for extended durations.
