WD Door of Ankeny, IA is looking to hire a Residential Garage Door Service Technician to repair and service overhead garage doors in residential settings.

Roles & Responsibilities- Provide garage door & garage door operator residential service with exceptional customer service
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on malfunctioning or damaged garage doors and their components.
- Identify and resolve issues related to door openers, springs, cables, tracks, rollers, sensors, and other hardware.
- Lubricate moving parts to ensure smooth and noise-free operation.
- Replace worn-out or broken parts, including hinges, rollers, cables, and springs, to restore optimal functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to detect potential problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their inquiries, concerns, and service requests.
- Educate customers on proper operation and maintenance of their garage doors to maximize their lifespan.
- Offer recommendations for garage door upgrades or enhancements to meet customers' specific needs.
- Maintain detailed records of all installations, repairs, and service calls, including parts used, labor hours, and customer information.
- Collaborate with the team and management to share knowledge and information regarding technical issues, best practices, and industry updates.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while working with garage door systems and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations during installation and repair processes.
