We are seeking a skilled and dedicated plumber to join our team, responsible for addressing and repairing plumbing issues, including leaks and faulty fixtures. The role involves installing and maintaining water heaters, faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and other plumbing systems, as well as performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance. You will communicate clearly with homeowners regarding issues, solutions, and pricing, while maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Ensuring compliance with local plumbing codes and safety standards is essential, and providing emergency plumbing services as needed may be required.
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks and faulty fixtures.
- Install and maintain water heaters, faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and other plumbing systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Communicate clearly with homeowners about issues, solutions, and pricing.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and safety standards.
- Provide emergency plumbing services as needed (on-call rotation may apply).
- 1+ years of experience in plumbing.
- Experience with soldering.
- Ability to use an impact driver and basic hand tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and plumbing skills.
- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and lift 100+ lbs as needed with team assistance.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with pro-press and solder.
- 1+ year plumber helper experience.
- Mechanical or construction aptitude.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.

WorkEnvironment
Our team-oriented environment is very busy, with the expectation of working 60+ hours per week due to new projects. Once trained, you will be on-call every 6 weeks with compensation provided. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM. You will be paired with a journeyman and start your day either on the job site or at the shop.
The dress code includes jeans, work boots, and a company-provided work-appropriate t-shirt. Basic hand tools are required.
This is a Permanent position based out of Ankeny, IA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $75000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Opportunities for weekly commissions and period bonuses.
