The Lead Test Automation Engineer will support a major quality engineering initiative focused on accelerating automated testing for a large-scale Retail POS ecosystem. The project centers on designing and developing automated testing frameworks that validate critical use cases across POS terminals, card readers, keypads, screens, and fuel pumps. This effort is driven by the implementation of a robotics automation system that enables thousands of test permutations, reducing regression cycles from weeks to less than two days.
This is a long-term contract-to-hire position requiring full onsite presence in the Des Moines, IA (Ankeny) area. Competitive compensation will be provided.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe are seeking a Lead Test Automation Engineer with deep experience in quality engineering, automation strategy, and .NET-based test framework development. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on skills in architecting automated test solutions for distributed or retail systems and can drive automation across complex POS‑related hardware and software scenarios. Experience with Keysight Eggplant is strongly preferred but not required.

QUALIFICATIONS- Strong development experience in C#, .NET, Java, and/or Type Script with proven experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks for high-availability systems.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and Dev Ops tool chains (Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, etc.).
- Experience with API testing and load/performance testing.
- Strong preference for experience with Eggplant or similar test automation tools.
Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorship and no third parties.
