Software Engineer Crypto Web

Bit Go is a leading infrastructure provider of digital asset solutions, delivering custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, and settlement services from regulated cold storage.

Position:
Full‑time onsite at our office in Toronto (flexible arrangements may be considered for exceptional candidates).

We look for engineers who have strong opinions but hold them loosely, can give direct feedback constructively, and believe in raising the bar for the entire team.

• Design and build scalable services using the Node.js/Type Script stack.
• Collaborate closely with design and product managers to define, architect, and ship new features.
• Establish engineering best practices, code standards, and development processes.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, provide mentorship to team members.
• Draft technical design documents and spearhead major initiatives.

• Build strong, resilient, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to power our Growth and Web experiences.
• Build and maintain backend services that integrate with our microservices architecture.
• Own functionality and scalability features by taking responsibility from inception to deployment and customer integration.
• Expose and document functionality to the UI, third‑party developers, and our tooling.
• Improve internal workflows by adding tooling to make development and experimentation easier.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure consistency in understanding of technical requirements and overall work quality.
• Provide mentorship to peers through code reviews and best‑practice education.
• Coordinate with globally distributed teammates.

• At least 3+ years of back‑end server‑side software development.
• Strong experience with Type Script and Node.js.
• Strong experience with Postgre
  
  SQL and Mongo
  
  DB.
• Strong experience with RESTful API design.
• Excellent algorithm design, problem‑solving, and complexity analysis skills.
• Experience in Git/Git Hub, branching methodologies, code review tools, CI tools, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline.

• Understanding and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and the blockchain industry.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures and message queues (Kafka).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience working in startup or high‑growth environments.

Pay:
Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $160,000 and $200,000 CAD base salary. Equity, an annual performance bonus, and the benefits outlined below are also part of this role’s package.
