TMC Transportation has an immediate full-time and part-time opening for a Yard Instructor working out of our office in Ankeny, IA
.

The primary function of a Yard Instructor is to assist in instruction, evaluation, and preparations of new trainees for the over-the-road truck driver positions.

• Conduct instruction and hands-on training related to all aspects of commercial over-the-road truck driving that trainees are required to master before being released into their own tractor-trailer unit
• Constructively evaluate trainees and give feedback
• Maintain and uphold the TMC Transportation values

• Ability to communicate and interact with trainees in a learning environment.
• Must hold and maintain a valid Class “A” Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
• Excellent driving record.
• Prior driving experience.
• Experience backing and operating a tractor-trailer unit in town and confined spaces.
