Ready to be part of something special? Join our Family! The Warehouse Supervisor will report to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager and lead the afternoon/evening shift. Hours are approximately 3:00 pm - 12:15 am Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities- Ensuring on‑time, complete, and correct shipments to all customers from the Ankeny distribution center.
- Assuring timely material movement to and from packaging and processing areas.
- Directing workforce and utilizing equipment in the most cost‑effective manner.
- Looking for continual process improvement while maintaining safety, sanitation, and GMPs.
- Ensuring employee safety at all times and promoting safety, correcting unsafe practices or conditions, and complying with OSHA standards in all operations.
- Maintaining complete and on‑time shipping objectives.
- Ensuring all employees are properly trained in accordance with job qualification and training program of the warehouse.
- Conducting daily communication meetings with warehouse employees.
- Inputting all data required for measuring warehouse throughput and performance in all key areas: loading, picking, tasking, prepack, and pallet displays.
- Managing FIFO of finished warehouse production and proper shipments of finished product to customers.
- Maintaining truck demurrage at the lowest level within established controls.
- Maintaining warehouse area at an acceptable level of housekeeping.
- Tuning in maintenance and repair orders as needed and making recommendations for budget.
- Applying union contract and company policy provisions fairly and consistently.
- Identifying and communicating food safety issues; leading and influencing food safety initiatives.
- Upholding cGMPs and ensuring all food safety and quality records are completed accurately and timely.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or a similar field.
- Three to five years of supervisory background in shipping and/or warehousing.
