Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Specialist supports the financial operations of our manufacturing organization by managing vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role is ideal for someone with solid AP experience who thrives in a fast‑paced, detail‑driven environment and enjoys collaborating across departments.

• Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Review of Plant processed three-way matched invoices
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare weekly payment runs and maintain payment schedules
• Record monthly journal entries
• Monthly cost statement preparation
• Support month‑end closing activities related to accounts payable
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues
• Assist with process improvements and AP workflow efficiency

• Prior Accounts Payable experience in a professional setting
• Proficiency with Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Solid communication and problem‑solving skills

• Experience with Sage X3
• Background in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with three‑way matching and ERP systems
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
