Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will lead the processes and controls in the area of accounting consolidations. This position will be responsible for leading these activities timely and accurately in the monthly closing process activities in accordance with company accounting policies and GAAP. This role will perform advanced SOX controls as well as the review of recurring controls in compliance with company policy.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in analyzing intercompany activities, identifying variances and working with the respective teams to achieve resolution. This work will involve a high level of independent judgment and problem solving, accuracy, and initiative. The role will develop new processes and implement independently identified improvements.

Core Functions
  • Lead processes and controls in the area of accounting consolidations; ensure financials are prepared, reconciled, and reported timely and accurately in accordance with company accounting policies and GAAP.
  • Prepare journal entries within HFM consolidation system, ensure documentation and review controls are performed in accordance with the company policies.
  • Review ERP to HFM account mappings, provide guidance to respective teams as needed, provide mapping training to new team members, including entities newly acquired via M&A process.
  • Analyze intercompany activities, identify variances and work with the respective accounting teams to achieve resolution. Lead accounting set‑up of new intercompany relationships, including creation and testing of new accounts and dimensions.
  • Lead adjustments related to non‑GAAP financial measures, such as adjusted EBITDA, assuring accuracy and compliance, work with various accounting teams cross‑functionally to assure that adjustments are properly documented and reported timely.
  • Review accuracy of foreign exchange rates for month‑end balance sheet and income statement reporting.
  • Perform advanced SOX controls and review standard controls to ensure operating.
  • Lead account reconciliation process with Blackline, including tracking of completion status, working with information systems team on adding new accounts, entities, assigning reconciliation templates, groups, etc.
  • Support external and internal audits, as necessary.
  • Identify and implement efforts to improve financial processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related degree required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and or finance experience required.
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Experience with consolidation systems (HFM preferred).
  • Ability to solve problems independently and resourcefully.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to think analytically.
  • Ability to break down problems and provide recommendations for solutions.
  • Function efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, specifically in pivot tables, vlook‑ups, formulas, and functions.
