Senior Accountant Management Accounting
Role Overview:
You are required to join the finance team as a meticulous and driven Senior Accountant with 4 to 10 years of core accounting experience. Your responsibilities will include managing core accounting and general ledger functions, ensuring timely financial reporting, overseeing fixed assets and accounts payable management, providing audit and compliance support, and potentially supporting accounting for international locations.
- Journal Management:
Accurately prepare and post monthly journal entries including accruals and adjustments. - Book Closing:
Lead the monthend and yearend closing process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. - Reconciliations:
Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements, BRS, and detailed General Ledger GL reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. - Schedules:
Prepare comprehensive support schedules for the General Ledger focusing on Advance and Prepaid ledgers with full documentation. - Asset Management:
Oversee the fixed asset lifecycle and calculate monthly depreciation accurately. - Accounts Payable:
Process vendor invoices end-to-end with proper approvals, coding, and timely payments. - Statutory Audit Support:
Act as a key contact for auditors, prepare audit schedules, pull samples, and provide justifications for financial data. - Taxation:
Ensure compliance with Withholding Tax TDS and GST regulations including calculation, filing, and reconciliation of tax ledgers.
- Experience:
4 to 10 years of post‑qualification experience in a similar accounting role. - Technical Proficiency:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, complex formulas). Prior experience with Net Suite ERP is highly preferred. - Tax Knowledge:
Solid understanding of GST frameworks and withholding tax requirements. - Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA, CPA, Inter
CA candidates preferred.
