Job Description

Tax Preparer

Responsibilities
  • Enter client data and financial information into tax preparation software.
  • Prepare tax returns accurately, following firm policies and procedures.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in line with company protocols.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in individual tax return preparation preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting concepts preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a PTIN.
  • Availability:
    Minimum 30 hours per week (Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm your local time). Work hours must be spread across at least four days, with a minimum of four consecutive hours per day.
  • Comfortable with technology, paperless workflows, and self‑guided learning.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor; the ability to manage confidential information.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
