Position: Office Professional, (10+ Month - Part Time)

POSITION TITLE:

Hybrid Office Professional, Secretary II and Teacher Clerk

FTE: 0.9 (10+ months)

Category B 0.4 and C 0.5 AAEA/OP Salary Schedule

Reporting Relationship:
Building Principal

EDUCATION

AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Previous administrative or office support experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with student information systems (e.g., Tie Net, Naviance).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for students and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and process student enrollments.
  • Maintain accurate enrollment records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of new students.
  • 504 Plans / Tie Net Support
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of 504 plans.
    • Provide support for Tie Net system users, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
    • Schedule and coordinate meetings related to 504 plans and student support.
  • Peer Ambassador Oversight
    • Oversee tasks assigned to Peer Ambassadors, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time.
    • Monitor and maintain Peer Ambassador attendance records.
    • Serve as a point of contact for Peer Ambassadors, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Administrative Support
    • Answer phones and transfer calls or take messages for counselors.
    • Greet and assist visitors at the front desk.
    • Monitor and maintain the appearance and organization of the counseling suite, workroom, and conference room.
    • Schedule the use of the Counseling Conference room.
    • Order office supplies for counselors as needed.
    • Conduct Naviance clean-up and add new students to the system.
  • Student Support
    • Assist with organizing and scheduling student registration.
    • Create and maintain student files for counselors.
    • Facilitate student shadowing experiences.
  • Testing and Special Projects
    • Assist with testing accommodations and arrangements for students with 504 plans.
    • Participate in special projects as assigned by the counseling department head or principal.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Communicate effectively and present information both in oral and in written form.
REASONING ABILITY
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Interpret an extensive variety of statistical information and data related to student achievement.
OTHER

SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Interact with public and other staff as required.
  • Apply knowledge of current replicated research and techniques related to sensory issues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
