- Temporary Position Summary

The Part Time Facilities Design & Construction Assistant provides support in the operation of the Design & Construction Department under Facilities Management during a temporary 16‑week assignment beginning summer 2026.

• Call vendors and coordinate finish samples in the library.
• Organize computer files and update documents using MS Office.
• Assist in meeting with contractors on site.
• Familiarize with current projects and understand the scope of work.
• Measure rooms and inventory spaces on campus.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
• Utilize technology, including AI‑enabled tools, to support duties and maintain confidentiality.
• Perform other functions as requested by the supervisor.

• Work in an office and on campus sites.
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for moderate periods.
• Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to read floor plans.

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Basic word processing, database, and email skills using MS Office.
• Keyboard proficiency and screen reading ability.
• Comfortable with emerging AI‑supported tools and able to evaluate AI outputs with confidentiality and ethical judgment.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Experience with design and construction projects.
• Knowledge of campus facilities and construction terminology.

Salary: $17.21 per hour.
