Role Description

The Automotive Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Russ Milne Ford Inc in Macomb, MI. This role is responsible for performing routine vehicle maintenance, diagnostic work, and a wide range of repairs on customer vehicles. Day-to-day tasks include completing oil changes, inspecting and servicing mechanical and electrical systems, addressing suspension issues, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards.

The technician will use diagnostic tools, follow manufacturer guidelines, and maintain accurate service records in the shop’s systems. The role also involves communicating clearly with service advisors, following workplace safety protocols, and contributing to a clean, organized service environment.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Vehicle Maintenance and routine Oil Changes.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Automotive Repair and Maintenance & Repair across multiple vehicle systems.
  • Candidates should possess skills in diagnosing and servicing Suspension components.
  • Relevant automotive certifications (e.g., ASE) or manufacturer training are beneficial.
  • Experience working in a dealership or professional repair shop is preferred.
  • Ability to use diagnostic equipment, follow technical manuals, and adhere to safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, time-management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
