Position Overview

The Automotive Technician is a foundational role in the automotive service team, learning skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Responsibilities include routine inspections, vehicle assessments, repair procedures, customer communication, and contributing to high‑quality workmanship in a fast‑paced environment.

Pay

Pay Range: $18.38 – $27.62 per hour. Performance‑based flat‑rate compensation with ASE certification bonuses.

Responsibilities
  • Perform oil changes and other scheduled maintenance services.
  • Conduct inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
  • Install batteries, check electrical systems, and perform tire maintenance.
  • Install parts and road‑test vehicles.
  • Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications (A1–A8) within the first two years of employment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn basic tasks.
  • Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
  • Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair services.
  • Reading, writing, and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of automotive repair experience or completion of a vocational‑technical program.
  • A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications.
