Safety SupervisorJob Summary
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for supporting day-to-day safety operations and advancing safety performance at the Quincy facility while providing supplemental support to Walker manufacturing operations. This role focuses on frontline safety engagement, compliance, auditing, and safety analytics execution under the direction of the Environmental Health & Safety Manager.
This position is designed as a developmental leadership role, with the expectation of progression to a Safety Manager-level position within approximately three years throughdemonstratedleadership, analytical capability, and impact on safety culture and performance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Safety Operations & Floor Engagement- Support daily safety activities within the Quincy facility, ensuring safe work practices are consistently followed
- Conduct routine safety observations, audits, and walkthroughs to identify hazards and unsafe behaviors
- Partner with supervisors and production teams to reinforce safety expectations and drive accountability
- Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, communication, and positive reinforcement
- Monitor and manage employee safety concerns through behavior-based safety observations and listening sessions
- Manage the implementation of safety-related initiatives, including ergonomic assessments and safety suggestion programs
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of safety programs, policies, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable state, local, and company safety regulations
- Support training efforts by coordinating and delivering safety training, including PPE, LOTO, and other required programs
- Maintain safety documentation, records, and reporting tools
- Participate in and lead incident investigations, including near misses, injuries, and property damage events
- Assist in identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Track and follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely closure
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk and improve overall safety performance
- Support the development and maintenance of safety metrics, dashboards, and reporting
- Analyze trends in incidents, observations, and audit data to identify risk patterns
- Provide actionable insights to the EHS Manager and leadership team to support decision-making
