The Opportunity

The mission of the position is to oversee the operations of the event space and to enhance the Hylant brand and help perpetuate the growth of the Detroit office within the Birmingham community and surrounding areas.

• Oversee the operations of the event space, ensuring the highest level of concierge service, including but not limited to bar management and service of the clients.
• Collaborate with clients (internal and external) to coordinate the communication / attendance at events to provide maximum exposure for Hylant.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their event requirements and objectives.
• Execute all event logistics from concept to completion and provide excellent customer service to patrons and event attendees.
• Develop event concepts, themes, and timelines based on client needs.
• Understand all aspects of the A/V and sound equipment in the event space and manage presentation set-up and logistics.
• Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary services and resources.
• Ensures compliance within the rules and regulations for the event space. This includes both indoor space and outdoor patio area.
• Create detailed event proposals, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
• Coordinate logistics, including transportation, accommodations, catering, entertainment, and technical requirements.
• Perform other duties and special projects as requested.

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, event planning, marketing, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in event planning, coordination, or management.
• 3+ year of experience in event planning
• Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
