Operations Analyst and Prophet SME

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines strong Prophet 21 expertise with a deep understanding of distribution operations, inventory, purchasing, and order fulfillment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Analyze inventory, purchasing, customer orders, demand, and fulfillment performance, monitoring for shortages, excess inventory, and changing demand patterns
• Serve as the primary functional subject matter expert for Epicor Prophet 21, supporting users with functionality, reporting, and system-related issues
• Gather business requirements and translate operational needs into P21 system improvements, including configuration, testing, and enhancements
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, order issues, and recurring operational problems through root cause analysis
• Develop P21 reports, dashboards, queries, and analytical tools to improve data quality and reporting reliability
• Establish KPIs and operational dashboards covering inventory availability, backorders, order accuracy, and on-time delivery
• Create process documentation, training materials, and deliver user training to drive P21 adoption

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on Epicor Prophet 21 experience, with demonstrated ability to serve as a functional SME
• Experience supporting a P21 implementation, rollout, or business transition
• Background in industrial distribution, operations, supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management
• Experience extracting, analyzing, and interpreting ERP data; advanced Excel skills
• Business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation
• Preferred: SQL, Business Analyzer, Crystal Reports, or Dyna Change experience
