Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the Construction Manager and our Clients in the field by Providing single-point field inspection of contractor’s work, on infrastructure projects.
  • Read and follow construction drawings, collaborate with construction inspection team members, learn construction specifications and requirements, check-in materials at the job sites. Perform construction inspections, contractor observations and communications. Compile daily reports and safety forms, obtain field measurements, track quantities and complete as-built mark-ups on plans. Join punch list walkthroughs and assist with project close-out processes.
Qualifications
  • The Construction Inspector will work at a project site and will be required to work in a manner that ensures personal safety as well as the safety of fellow employees by following project and company health and safety guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
  • Ability to effectively discuss project issues with field crews and collaborate with inspection colleagues.
  • Written and verbal communications with construction managers, and engineers.
  • Work during inclement weather conditions, overtime and occasional weekends.

Knowledge of computer software, i.e. MS Office, Outlook, Adobe or Bluebeam PDF.

Education and Experience
  • Experience:

    Minimum of five (5) years of construction experience required.
  • Experience with Construction Inspection is preferred.
  • Experience with civil, underground utilities, concrete and asphalt projects is preferred.

Education:

Successful completion of a degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Technology, Construction Management or Construction Technology is preferred.
