Position: Construction Supervisor - Field(Michigan)

Construction Field Coordinator – Power Plant Project (Travel Role)

Pay: $90–$125 per hour

Per Diem: $170/day (car, lodging, meals) (7 days a week, $1190 per week)

Location: Michigan (near Detroit/Canadian border)

Start/End: 06/08/26 – 05/02/27

Position Overview

This role supports a major power‑plant construction and demolition project as an on‑site Construction Field Coordinator/Supervisor
. You will work alongside—but independently from—the primary Construction Manager to ensure field activities stay aligned with schedule, labor plans, material availability, and equipment utilization.

This is a hands‑on, boots‑on‑the‑ground role ideal for someone experienced in large industrial or power‑generation construction who thrives in fast‑moving environments and can anticipate issues before they impact schedule or cost.

The hiring company is a large, nationally recognized industrial construction services provider (name intentionally withheld), known for executing complex energy‑sector projects across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor Construction Activities — Track daily field progress, labor usage, equipment deployment, and material consumption.
  • Schedule Alignment — Compare actual progress against project schedule; identify risks, delays, and resource constraints.
  • Field Coordination — Work closely with—the Construction Manager to support safe, efficient execution.
  • Demo & Installation Oversight — Support ramp‑up of demolition activities and ensure proper sequencing of work.
  • Daily Reporting — Document field conditions, manpower levels, equipment status, and material needs.
  • Issue Escalation — Flag schedule risks, safety concerns, or resource shortages promptly.
  • Contractor Interface — Coordinate with subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project expectations and timelines.
  • Field Verification — Validate that work performed matches drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Support Startup & Equipment Setup — Assist during early‑phase equipment staging and mobilization.
  • Safety & Compliance — Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to site protocols.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work extended schedules (5×10s → 6×10s)
  • Must be comfortable working in a field‑based, industrial environment
Preferred Background
  • Experience with demolition, outage work, or energy‑sector construction
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes in industrial settings
  • Prior experience supporting or coordinating for a large EPC or industrial contractor
  • This is a traveler position with full per diem for the entire assignment
  • Must be able to remain on‑site for the duration of the project
  • Project located near the Michigan–Canada border
