9:00-11:00 AM and 7:00-9:00 PM

We're looking for an experienced Event Videographer/Photographer to capture a one-day hackathon event at the University of Michigan.

This person will capture a mix of video, photography, and b-roll throughout key portions of the event, including a technical workshop and the evening judging and awards. The content will be used to document the event and support a final edited video.

• Capture high-quality video and still photography throughout the event
• Shoot engaging b-roll of attendees, speakers, workshops, interactions, and the overall event environment
• Capture key moments during the technical workshop, judging, and award announcements
• Provide a strong mix of candid, environmental, and event photography
• Capture clean, usable footage that can be incorporated into a final edited video
• Work independently and identify compelling moments to capture in a fast-moving live event environment

• Professional or freelance experience with event photography and videography
• Strong portfolio showcasing live events, conferences, corporate events, activations, or similar work
• Comfortable capturing both photo and video
• Strong eye for composition, lighting, storytelling, and candid moments
• Able to work independently with limited direction
• Must have appropriate professional camera/video equipment
• Must be available for both scheduled time blocks on Saturday, September 19
