Position: IT Helpdesk Support Technician (1st/2nd/3rd Shift Opportunities)

One of TEKsystems clients is looking for multiple qualified candidates to support their IT department's Helpdesk Team. These roles are high paced and the client is looking for candidates that can handle the high volume of calls. This is also a great opportunity for someone to grow their skills within the IT support and have the opportunity to advance their careers within IT.

Work Environment

Must be able to work at least one of the following shifts/schedules. Must be local enough to be onsite for training for the first 6 weeks of the job.

  • Sunday–Thursday 8 am–5 pm (onsite M–Th)
  • Friday–Tuesday 7 pm–4 am (remote after 6 weeks of onsite training)
  • Sunday–Thursday 7 pm–4 am (remote after 6 weeks of onsite training)
  • Tuesday–Saturday 7 pm–4 am (remote after 6 weeks of onsite training)
  • Tuesday–Saturday 4 pm–1 am (remote after 6 weeks of onsite training)
  • Sunday–Thursday 4 pm–1 am (remote after 6 weeks of onsite training)
Technical Skills
  • Minimum 1 year of IT support or IT Service Desk experience required. This can be a combination of professional IT work experience and internships. Must be available to work daytime and evening hours during the week and on some weekends as part of their normal, permanent schedule.
Job Description Summary

The Service Desk position provides outstanding customer service at all times. The service desk’s role is to provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. The role responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, determines and implements solutions, and troubleshoots problem areas by telephone or instant message in a timely and accurate fashion. The high volume service position will allow you to engage your customer service skills by delivering prompt and accurate answers to colleagues and the support team.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding service to, and build relationships with colleagues every day.
  • Work individually and as a team to meet and exceed established goals, i.e., call handle time goals, availability goals and quality goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our client’s products, services, technology, and procedures.
  • Compile documentation necessary for effectively fulfilling customer needs.
  • Document all notes required in the appropriate systems so that staff can be educated and prepared for success.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
  • Drive initiatives that improve the service desk.
  • Partner with internal support groups in providing the best service to our colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $22.00 /hr.
