• Teach all art disciplines to eager young minds.
• Instill in students a love for art.
• Open students’ hearts, minds, and souls to all that is good, beautiful, and true through the teaching of art.
• Use creative and varied pedagogical techniques to create a fun, ordered, and fruitful learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with the instructional leader and members of the Performing & Fine Arts department to leverage best practices and build a passion for the arts at the school.
• Participate in other co‑curricular activities.
• Serve as a faculty mentor to one of FGR’s House Groups.
• Be ready to support the mission of the school with other duties as assigned.
• And naturally, prepare lesson plans; take attendance; give assignments and tests; grade student participation and performance; discipline students; and meet with students and parents as needed to discuss any issues.

• Bachelor’s in an art-related field and LQ or LZ Endorsement; M.A. in Art, Education, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience teaching art at the high school level preferred.
• Proven ability to manage a classroom of 20+ students.
• Skilled at developing and delivering lesson plans that engage students and lead to high academic achievement.
• Passionate about forming intentional disciples of Jesus Christ.
