Washtenaw Community College (WCC) is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to be considered when part time Transportation (TT) support staff is needed. Needs may become available prior to or during each semester. Upon successful submission of your application and required documents, you will be considered for future part time opportunities on a per semester basis.

The Transportation Technologies Department at Washtenaw Community College is dedicated to preparing students for dynamic careers in the automotive and transportation industries. Our department offers hands-on learning experiences with cutting-edge technology, ensuring that students gain the skills needed for success in this rapidly evolving field.
We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our team in a part-time capacity. Each position within our department contributes to the education and training of future automotive technicians, engineers, and industry professionals. Position Summary:
* Part Time Transportation Technologies - Support Staff assists the Department Chair, Faculty and Classified Faculty for setup and teardown of lab assignments for student completion.
· Additionally, part time support must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to serve as a positive role model for WCC students, demonstrating ethical behavior, workplace professionalism, and industry best practices.

Essential
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assist with maintaining a safe and clean laboratory working environment. Report all non-working or unsafe equipment. Be familiar with OSHA and SDS requirements.
· Assist with laboratory activities as assigned by the department's instructors-prepare/breakdown laboratories.
· Assist with promotional events, as directed.
· Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.
· Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Capable of lifting and transporting at least 50 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· High School diploma or GED equivalent.
· Ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, work effectively with others, and provide support to students and staff.
· Must be available to work days, nights and/or weekends.
· Ability to lift and transport at least 50 pounds.
