Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain an environment conducive to student learning.
  • Prepare for and instruct assigned course(s) through the use of appropriate learning experiences and materials that meet overall course objectives and program goals.
  • Adhere to the course syllabus and comply with the Assessment of Student Academic Achievement.
  • Evaluate student progress through day‑to‑day evaluation, written examinations, and overall observation.
  • Grade assignments meaningfully to promote continued student growth, return graded assignments to students in a timely manner, and assign final grades for all students, meeting or beating all institutional deadlines for completion.
  • Actively support student success through guidance, advising, and assistance to individual students as needed.
  • Participate in professional activities such as curriculum planning, examination development, textbook selection, program evaluation/revision, and other professional planning activities.
  • Participate in the Student Opinion Questionnaire (SOQ) process.
  • Maintain levels of professional knowledge and expertise, including compliance training.
  • Utilize technology (including AI‑enabled tools and software) where appropriate to support teaching, learning, student engagement, professional responsibilities, institutional service, and other responsibilities. Use such technologies in a manner consistent with academic standards, professional ethics, confidentiality requirements, and compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours / Schedule

Schedules vary according to class schedules. Part‑time instructors may teach up to eight contact hours per week or 120 contact hours per semester. Employment terms are based on college enrollment and class enrollment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Earned Master’s degree or higher from a regionally‑accredited institution in Anthropology or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Anthropology.
  • Minimum of six months of CRM experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology relevant to the discipline and faculty role, including capacity to learn and appropriately utilize emerging AI‑supported tools. Ability to evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and appropriateness of AI‑generated content; maintain confidentiality where required; exercise professional and academic judgment; and uphold ethical standards in the use of technology for teaching, learning, and service.
  • Available to teach weekday and weekend classes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent, successful, post‑secondary teaching experience in Anthropology courses.
  • Online, remote, or virtual teaching experience.
  • Experience with Canvas LMS.
