Responsibilities- Support and abide by local, state, and federal laws that affect the College.
- Attend a mandatory orientation session and complete online compliance training.
- Participate in the Free College Day biannually.
- Teach live in-person or online for all scheduled class sessions and respond to participant questions and feedback.
- Complete and return all official course paperwork in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about developments in your field of specialization and/or instruction and propose new classes annually to the Program Manager.
- Prepare, develop, or revise curricula based on WCC goals and guidelines as needed.
- Submit required course outlines, textbooks, instructional materials, and orders for supplies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the marketing of all assigned classes.
- Utilize technology, including AI-enabled tools and software, to support the effective performance of assigned duties, enhance productivity, and improve communication while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements, institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Hours vary based on class schedule(s). The terms of employment are based on class enrollment.
Minimum Qualifications- Must be a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Michigan and/or hold a Master of Social Work Degree (MSW) from a CSWE accredited social work program.
- If teaching online, must be willing and able to teach virtually while maintaining the high-quality class experience that participants expect of in-person classes.
- Must have demonstrated skills or experience in instruction for adults in a professional development setting.
- Must have demonstrated ability to develop curriculum relating to these categories and best methods to teach these skills to multi-generational age ranges.
- Must be available to teach during various times including evenings or weekends.
- Ability to use workplace technology relevant to the position, including the capacity to learn and appropriately leverage emerging AI-supported tools. Ability to assess the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated content, maintain confidentiality, and apply sound judgment and ethical practices in the use of technology.
