Responsibilities

The Adjunct Instructor in the Aviation Maintenance Program will be serving as the primary source of instruction in the classroom or workshop on a variety of aviation maintenance subjects to a diverse student population. Must be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate knowledge of specific technical skills required in all areas of aviation maintenance, including general aviation, airframe, and power plant subjects.

The successful candidate will adjust instructional technique to suit student learning styles while maintaining a positive learning environment. Must collaborate with students and peers to establish a safe environment where safety is not compromised and discipline is strictly enforced. Must be willing to teach various classes within the Aviation Maintenance program. Must have recent experience in aviation maintenance. This position requires in-person and evening availability.

Required Qualifications
  • Federal Aviation Administration Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certification
  • Two (2) years relevant industry experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications
  • Primary duty and responsibility of teaching students in instructional settings

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
