Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a research agenda, conduct interdisciplinary research resulting in publications and extramural support, present results at scientific meetings, and provide teaching and mentorship to technicians, post‑doctoral fellows, graduate students and other learners.
Qualifications- Demonstrated research expertise in any area of pain, opioid or adolescent mental health that will enhance existing research strengths or establish new ones.
- A consistent and ongoing record of securing research funding.
- Experience and skill in providing leadership that will advance the scholarly and curricular excellence of the Department of Anesthesiology.
- Strong track record of publishing high‑quality, peer‑reviewed research.
- Mentoring and teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students in their area of expertise.
- Proven success with contributing to a positive workplace culture and ability to consistently demonstrate the school's core values.
- Ability to contribute to the department's tripartite mission to provide high quality clinical care with a strong focus on education, teaching, and research.
Successful candidate must have an MD or PhD (or equivalent), strong academic credentials, and a research portfolio that demonstrates potential for achieving national leadership. Candidates with experience focusing on pain, opioid and suicide interventions, mixed methods research and/or implementation science are highly preferred.
Record of success in multidisciplinary research environments, extramural research support, competence in didactic teaching and mentorship are also considered.
