TITLE OF POSITION: Dix Street Elementary Special Education Teacher (Full-Time) Level 1
STARTING DATE: 2026-27 School Year
CLOSING DATE: Until Filled
Otsego Public Schools’ staff is the heart of the district, and we are looking to add a Special Education teacher to our elementary staff.
Primary tasks (non-exhaustive list):- Instruct students with special needs in core content using a variety of techniques, such as pull out intervention groups and push in support into the general education classroom in order to meet students' varying needs.
- Collaborate with other teachers or administrators to develop, evaluate, or revise secondary school programs.
- Confer with other staff members to plan or schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
- Confer with parents, administrators, social workers, or other professionals to develop individual educational plans (IEPs) for students' educational, physical, or social development.
- Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate, with Special Education endorsement
- Experience in level 1 special education preferred
- Experience at the elementary level preferred
