Job Summary The John H. and Patricia W. Mitchell Business Communication Lab (MBCL) at the College of Business has tutor-consultant openings for qualified applicants starting Fall, 2026. The MBCL is looking for consultants who are interested in tutoring written, verbal and digital business communication assignments at the
** undergraduate level**. In a one-on-one environment at the COB's Mitchell Lab, tutors will coach students in a variety of audience-based communications. Sessions will be conducted in-person or virtually.

Applications must include a resume and cover letter (in one file) to be submitted to this job posting.
** Basic duties:
*** Demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with and learn from others.
* Support
** undergraduate
* * student business writers in digital, print and oral communications.
* Meet students remotely or in-person, as needed.
* Attend paid staff meetings and training
* Assist with Lab programming, as needed.
* Maintain session records.
* Ensure confidentiality of student work in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
* Perform duties and maintain standards according to college policies, procedures, and values

Starting pay is $15.00/hr.##

Required Qualifications Applicants must have already taken and successfully completed BA 330, Managerial Communication with a high B to A final course grade. Must be able to work well and collaboratively with peers. Multilingual students with expertise in English are especially encouraged to apply.
