• Bachelor’s degree or higher in early childhood education or child development
• Prior administrative experience strongly preferred
• Proven record of putting the interest of children and learning first
• Ability to guide staff in professional growth and effectively evaluate their performance
• Knowledge of LARA rules and regulations related to early childhood education
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for early childhood education

• Oversee the daily operations and administration of the preschool program and before and after school care
• Recruitment, supervision, and retention of preschool and before and after school care staff
• Maintain preschool compliance with LARA rules and regulations
• Facilitate enrollment process
• Liaison for Head Start and Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP)
• Advertising and promotion of Preschool and Community Education classes/programs
• Oversee Community Education classes/programs
• Prepare and deliver Welcome Kits to families within WUS boundaries and communicate about the GSRP
• Leverage partnerships with community organizations
• Manage budgets and grants for the various programs and grants
• Make referrals to Early On/Special Education Services as needed
