UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN FACULTY POSITION IN CELL & MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND RELATED FIELDS
The Department of Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology (MCDB) in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts at the University of Michigan solicits applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The faculty position will be tenure track with a university year appointment starting August 25, 2027 or January 1, 2028. Successful candidates will be expected to establish a vigorous, extramurally funded research program and provide instruction to both undergraduate and graduate students.
We welcome applications from outstanding biological scientists in all areas of cellular/molecular biology in prokaryotes, plants, and animals. Experimental approaches may include (but are not limited to) biochemical, genetic, cellular, and organismal levels.
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D.
Your application materials should be received by Thursday, October 1, 2026 (and recommendation letters no later than Thursday, October 8, 2026).
MCDB will review applications in October/November and will plan to hold in-person interviews in mid-December/early January.
