Associate Director, Alumni Career Coaching

The Associate Director, Alumni Career Coaching will engage Ross alumni (from all degree programs) by providing individualized career coaching, tools and programming to meet their needs in the career search process. You will provide in person or virtual one-on-one counseling to Ross alumni on all aspects of career development both remotely and in-person. You will report directly to the EMBA Managing Director.

This hybrid position is based in Ann Arbor, MI and is a 75% effort appointment, scheduled for 30 hours per week. The role may require occasional domestic travel and work outside standard business hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain that authorization throughout employment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one career coaching to Ross alumni on career transitions, job search strategy, resumes and Linked In, networking, interviewing, and internal career management.
  • Design and deliver career development programs, webinars, presentations, and group coaching opportunities tailored to executives and alumni.
  • Build and leverage relationships with alumni, employers, executive recruiters, and professional networks to support career connections and opportunities.
  • Stay current on executive search practices, employment trends, and alumni career needs to provide relevant guidance and inform programming.
  • Develop and maintain alumni career resources and content across web, email, social media, video, and other communication channels.
  • Collaborate with Ross and University partners on alumni programming, track career outcomes and engagement, and contribute to special projects and broader career development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field and 8+ years overall work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • 5+ years of career counseling, coaching, or professional recruitment experience
  • Experience with career consulting for executives or senior-level managers
  • Expertise in facilitating career or personality assessments (Career Leader, MBTI, Strengths Finder or other instruments)
  • Experience providing high-quality and engaging (technology-equipped) presentations and serving a demanding constituency
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service, including a clear focus on alumni service, and strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience managing confidential information
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks; meet multiple deadlines; and work collegially and collaboratively in a team environment

Additional Information

The salary offer range for this position is $56,475 to $72,975 based on the 75% effort. Salary offers are determined based on several factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, along with internal equity considerations. It is not common for new hires to be placed at the top of the range.
