Gretchen's House Child Care Centers Preschool Teacher

Gretchen's House Child Care Centers in Ann Arbor are now accepting applications for full and part-time Preschool Teachers!

Signing bonus offered during 1st year of employment for full-time (40 hours/week).

Regular work schedules are Monday through Friday: 7:45-4:45, 8:00-5:00, 8:15-5:15 or 11:00-5:15.

Job description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full and part-time Preschool Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young children.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Assess and monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
  • Organize and participate in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom, ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.

Requirements:

  • CDA, associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for teaching young children.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
