Qualifications:
- Hold an active Michigan Education Certificate with a valid School Counselor Endorsement
- Experience supporting adolescent students, with a strong understanding of academic counseling
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and foster a safe, supportive environment
- Passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide students in course selection and academic decision-making to support graduation and post-secondary planning
- Facilitate small group or individual counseling sessions as needed to address academic and social-emotional needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and administrators to deliver a unified approach for student success
- Interpret and utilize data to develop and monitor student plans
- Provide resources and referrals for students needing additional support or services
