As the Special Education Teacher at Newaygo Middle School, you will be working primarily with students in special education. In addition to serving the students, this position will assist teaching staff at the middle school with the development of intervention and behavior plans for special education students as well as assist with determining best teaching strategies in order to best meet the needs of these students.
Qualifications:- Valid Teaching Certification (Special Education Endorsement)
- Experience with Tier 2 and Tier 3 Interventions
- Ability/Knowledge to develop and implement behavioral and/or academic plans
- Ability/Knowledge to implement IEPs
- Ability to keep accurate documentation and to analyzestudent data
- Ability to relate positively with students, parents and staff
- Motivated, enthusiastic, positive attitude
- Passion for kids and learning
