- Service Area – Detroit/Ann Arbor
- Shift Requirements after onboarding/training for this role: 1st Shift (M-F | 8 a.m.
- 5 p.m.)
- You will be servicing medical imaging, angiography and/or cathlab equipment in the Detroit area. Customer Service Engineer Level can be adjusted based on prior experience.
- You are in a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites.
- You are the "Face of Siemens" to the customer.
- You support the diagnostics modalities initially, with potential to cross train into other modalities in the future.
- You are flexible and willing to work different shifts and on‑call rotations as business needs dictate, including willingness to work overtime as required. Advanced notice will be provided for any shift changes.
- You report to the Regional Service Manager at Siemens Medical Solutions.
- You have knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on medical imaging equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
- You have previous experience with the desired diagnostics imaging equipment.
- You have the ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties timely and accurately.
- You have a strong background working with electronics and are proficient in the use of service tools and service test equipment.
- You have proficient PC skills (MS Windows & Microsoft Office 365 – Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
- Minimum high school diploma; technical associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
- Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools (including but not limited to eVO, mButler, MS Office applications, Concur, NAM Customer Service website – Engineer Tools).
- Can locate, read, and understand documents for install, set‑up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams and functional descriptions.
- 5+ years’ experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
- Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.
- Physical Requirements:
Lifting 50 lbs regularly (floor to above waist/head) and often over 50 lbs, walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high‑reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
Fleet Safety Policy:
Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license and have no prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending charges unless prohibited by state/local law.
Base Pay Range: $67,550 - $92,884. Factors such as geography, skills, education and experience may affect starting pay within this range.

Vendor Credentialing Requirements:
In order to perform essential functions, employees must meet client site access requirements, including valid identification, background checks, drug screening, immunizations (COVID‑19, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus), annual TB testing and healthcare training.
