Position: Medical Imaging Field Engineer 3 - Saginaw, MI

Location and Shift

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career as a Customer Service Engineer 3.

Responsibilities
  • Service XP/AX Imaging Equipment in the Saginaw, MI area. Position level based on prior experience.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance on all Siemens Healthcare systems at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Deliver timely and effective repairs and provide adequate training to operators, ensuring optimal system performance and superior customer satisfaction.
  • Manage financial performance within the territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control and inventory management.
  • Monitor tool and test equipment expiration dates, ensuring no overdue calibration equipment is used or maintained in the field, and document usage on eFSR.
  • Manage company assets, including a company car, cell phone, computer, tools and inventory parts.
  • Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
  • Mentor other CSEs on all competencies and responsibilities.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, performing necessary administrative duties accurately.
  • Experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
Required Skills
  • Minimum high school diploma; technical associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.
  • Proficiency in all necessary network applications and tools including eVO, mButler, MS Office, Concur, and NAM Customer Service website–Engineer Tools.
  • Ability to locate, read and understand documents for installation, set‑up, repair, troubleshooting, schematics, block diagrams and functional descriptions.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a medical technologist or field service engineer (biomedical engineer) servicing diagnostic instruments.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to drive independently day and night, and a good driving record.
  • Physical requirements:

    lift 50 lbs, walk, climb ladder/step stool, bend, twist, sit, squat, stand, reach high, fine grasp manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.
  • Excellent judgment in customer relations and in managing company resources; competency in instrument systems technology (mechanics, electrical, chemistry, software) and experience with electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

This role is governed by our Fleet Safety Policy. Applicants must hold a valid driver’s license in the state they reside and cannot have prior DUI/DWI convictions or pending DUI/DWI charges or other serious moving violations (unless prohibited by state/local law).

Salary

Base pay range: $70,930 – $97,526. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This is a commission‑eligible position; commission eligibility will follow the terms of the Company’s plan. Commissions are based on individual and/or company performance.
