The Instrumentation & Controls EIT/Coordinator position includes engineering tasks with varying levels of complexity, assigned by a Project Engineer or Project Manager. The EIT may work independently on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects. Other tasks may include:
- Check manufacture's drawings and perform engineering calculations.
- Work on design layouts, verify code compliance, perform quality checks, meet project schedules and budgets, and coordinate with other disciplines as required.
- Typical design work involves power distribution, motor control, lighting, power system analysis and grounding.
- Depending on project size, may supervise designers and CAD operators. Projects include power, industrial and institutional facilities.
- Collaborate with other disciplines and apply strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
- Display attention to accuracy and be detail-oriented.
- Participate in field reviews or construction observation.
- Familiarity with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and professional work experience.
- Some travel may be involved.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm is preferred.
- 3.0+ GPA
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED is desired but not required.
- EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Preference given to local candidates.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a task
- Knowledgeable of Allen-Bradley, Modicon, Wonderware and/or Interlution
- Microsoft Office experience
- May need to travel
