Our client, a leader in autonomous mobility technology, is seeking a Test Engineer to join their innovative team. As a Test Engineer, you will be part of the Component and Sub System Hardware Validation team supporting high voltage battery testing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Test Engineer
Location: Ada, MI
Pay Range: $65/h + benefits

Responsibilities
  • Execute the Design Validation Plan and Reports (DVP&Rs) to validate high voltage batteries for Mechanical, Environmental, Performance, Compliance, and abuse testing.
  • Attend weekly cross-functional DVP meetings and provide testing progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for DVP&Rs, Test Procedures, RFQs, and Test Reports.
  • Travel to test facilities to review test setups ensuring flawless execution of validation tests.
  • Identify appropriate test assets, data acquisition systems, and sensors to ensure high-quality test data collection.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related relevant field.
  • 3+ years of HV Battery test or validation experience.
  • Familiarity with HV Battery test standards such as UN 38.3, UL2580, SAE J2464, SAE J2929, ECE R100, IEC
    60068-2.
  • Experience working with DFMEAs and root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion) and lab measurement equipment including DAQ, oscilloscopes, accelerometers, thermocouples, CAN, LIN, and automotive Ethernet.
