We are seeking a Controls Engineer to support automation, control systems, and manufacturing equipment within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated process equipment while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Support PLC, HMI, SCADA, and automated manufacturing systems across pharmaceutical operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve controls, instrumentation, and process automation issues to minimize downtime
- Participate in equipment startup, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities
- Develop and modify automation logic, system configurations, and control strategies to improve process performance
- Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change control activities related to automation systems
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Validation, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure reliable operation of process equipment
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of Controls/Automation Engineering experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Life Sciences environments
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, DCS, or Building Automation Systems
- Knowledge of GMP manufacturing processes and validation requirements
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills
