LEO Lecturer III - Aerospace Engineering

The Michigan Aerospace Engineering Department in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan is seeking an LEO Lecturer III focused on teaching core aerospace undergraduate theoretical and laboratory courses and selected graduate courses. Candidates should have a strong interest and demonstrated experience in teaching undergraduate students and/or early‑stage engineering professionals. Courses are offered during Fall and Winter terms. Candidates are also expected to participate in various departmental services, including but not limited to advising student groups and serving on departmental committees.

The expected percentage effort for this position will be 100%.

• PhD degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching undergraduate engineering courses in aerospace or mechanical engineering programs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of aerodynamics and propulsion.
• Exceptional communication (oral, written) skills.
• Experience with, and a passion for, mentoring and developing future engineers and leaders.
• Demonstrated record of scholarly work in the field of aerodynamics and propulsion.
• Knowledge of scientific computing.
• Laboratory teaching experience.
• Ability and willingness to teach in all areas of the aerospace engineering curriculum.
