This position supports the global nuclear program within the Power Providers Market Sector. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop high‑quality electrical design deliverables for nuclear and advanced power generation facilities using industry‑standard tools such as Bentley Micro Station. The role requires advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, design practices, and the ability to model and modify electrical systems in 2D/3D.
Key Responsibilities- Function as a project engineering technician.
- Develop and modify technical deliverables under general direction.
- Create moderately complex design concepts applying foundational engineering principles.
- Use digital tools (CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to produce, update, and maintain drawings and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and ensure quality and consistency across project outputs.
- Apply standards, codes, and BV policies to design work.
- Review project requirements to determine format and contents of deliverables.
- Apply BV Quality Program to deliverables and support continual improvement.
- Verify design inputs for consistency and code compliance.
- Make judgments on deliverables and input interpretation.
- Handle complex technical assignments and guide other professionals.
- Perform design calculations, material quantities, and estimates.
- Review peers’ deliverables.
- Define work assignments and maintain schedules.
- Program control systems or participate in plant start‑up activities related to expertise.
- Coordinate with design groups to exchange necessary information.
- Support field activities, focusing on internal client needs.
- Share knowledge of new technologies and processes.
- Diploma or certificate required.
- Associate degree in drafting or an engineering design related technology preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor‑vehicle records).
- Eligibility to satisfy U.S. citizenship requirements for the nuclear program (CFR 10 CFR 810).
- Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after 90 days based on manager discretion.
Annual salary ranges by state:
- Colorado: $74,360 – $124,190
- Minnesota: $70,980 – $118,545
Hourly compensation range applicable: $35.75 – $59.71
