System Protection & Studies (SPS) EIT/Coordinator (Entry Level)
HDR is seeking an entry‑level System Protection & Studies (SPS) EIT/Coordinator. The primary duties include execution of the technical aspects and deliverables of projects assigned and a general understanding of all technical requirements for basic to moderate‑complex projects.
Responsibilities- Conduct analyses to develop design options, performing modeling and/or calculations.
- Complete engineering calculation reports such as load flow, short circuit, grounding and arc flash studies.
- Perform routine engineering and design tasks, and participate in field reviews or construction observation.
- May work independently on small tasks and may assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
- Previous related internship in an A/E firm.
- Previous experience with system modeling and studies (ASPEN, CAPE, ETAP, etc.).
- EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of ‘Coordinator’ and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office.
