The projects will be diverse and range in size and complexity, covering root cause analysis, feasibility studies, FEL1-3, AACE Class 5-3, EPC contracts, startup and commissioning, etc. You will perform these tasks either individually or as part of the Mechanical Equipment Group.
The power industry is the main focus, with approximately 50% of time dedicated to Power Industry and 50% to Oil & Gas Industry. Multiple projects may be supported simultaneously, ranging from small services to large-scale EPC executions.
The TeamBlack & Veatch Operations develops, deploys, and maintains global resources and capabilities that guide execution and process excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Critically think through issues clients experience with their steam generation (e.g., Rankine boilers, HRSGs, auxiliary boilers), draft (e.g., , ductwork), and air quality control equipment (e.g., FGDs, ESPs, PJFFs, and SCRs) and supporting systems to identify potential resolutions.
- Have a working knowledge of how to apply design codes (e.g., ASME Section VIII, Division I; NFPA 85, NFPA 497, etc.) and federal regulations (40 CFR 60, 75, and 63). Expertise is not required with any particular code, but familiarity with how to navigate, interpret, and apply codes is required.

- Experience with the steam cycle used for power production and components of the steam and water systems
- Experience with the draft and air quality control systems from combustion of fuels used for power production
- Experience with auxiliary boilers for industrial processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, notably Excel, for developing calculations
- Competency with technical writing – writing sample is requested
