HDR Michigan, Inc. is seeking a Drawing Assistant to join our growing, nationally ranked Power Delivery team. Key responsibilities include assisting engineering teams by supporting drawing, checking in, checking out, procedures, cataloguing and filing documents and drawings, and transmitting engineering-related drawings and information to the HDR engineering team as well as HDR clients. This position involves following an exact process repeatedly with a high degree of quality as well as effectively communicating issues regarding the process with the team.
Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred qualifications include working knowledge of Bentley Micro Station, working knowledge of Bentley Project Wise, understanding of CAD drawing attributes, ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments, familiarity and understanding of construction drawings and documents, works well in a team environment and communicates well with many different team members, able to consistently handle deadlines and prioritize work, ability to respond to a changing and evolving process as well as learn new tasks, and excellent organization skills.
An associate degree is preferred. Preference is given to local candidates.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, excellent verbal and written communication including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills, flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented, ability to handle confidential information, proficiency with MS Office including Word and Outlook, and an attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
