Opportunity OverviewCollaborate with multidisciplinary power sector teams supporting nuclear generation projects and infrastructure development. Serve as a staff engineering technician in site development, creating and modifying technical deliverables using Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley Micro Station and Open Plant Modeler.
Under general supervision, perform design calculations, material quantities, and technical documentation. May support field activities and plant start‑up tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical tasks in a project engineering technician capacity.
- Develop and modify technical deliverables supporting engineering and design teams.
- Create moderately complex design concepts applying foundational engineering principles.
- Use digital design tools (CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to produce, modify, and maintain technical documentation and drawings.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to colleagues, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Apply standards, codes, and BV policies and procedures to deliverables.
- Review project requirements and determine required format and contents of deliverables.
- Apply BV Quality Program, support continuous improvement, and change management.
- Ensure design inputs and outputs are consistent and compliant with applicable codes and standards.
- Apply engineering judgment in developing moderate‑complex design concepts and deliverables.
- Handle difficult technical assignments within expertise and guide other professionals.
- Perform design calculations, detailed quantity estimation, and record keeping.
- Review deliverables of others and maintain schedules as needed.
- Program control systems or participate in specialized plant start‑up activities.
- Coordinate with other design group personnel to exchange project information.
- Support field activities, focusing on internal client needs.
- Seek and share knowledge of latest technologies and processes.
- Make decisions regarding deliverables and input interpretation.
- High school diploma or certificate required.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screening, etc.).
- Citizenship and compliance with 10 CFR 810 for the global nuclear program.
- Hybrid or flexible work options after 90 days based on manager discretion and performance.
