Overview
HDR is seeking a Drawing Assistant in the Power Delivery team within HDR Michigan, Inc. This role supports engineering teams by handling drawing-related tasks, document control, and communication with HDR engineers and clients. The position emphasizes accuracy, process adherence, and collaboration within an employee-owned culture.
Key Responsibilities- Assist engineering teams by supporting drawing, checking in, checking out, and procedures
- Catalogue and file documents and drawings
- Transmit engineering-related drawings and information to the HDR engineering team and HDR clients
- Follow an exact process repeatedly with a high degree of quality and communicate process issues to the team
- Perform other duties as needed
- Working knowledge of Bentley Micro Station
- Working knowledge of Bentley Project Wise
- Understands CAD drawing attributes
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
- Familiarity with construction drawings and documents
- Works well in a team and communicates with diverse team members
- Capable of meeting deadlines and prioritizing work
- Ability to adapt to changing processes and learn new tasks
- Local candidates preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling, and telephone skills
- Flexibility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook)
