Prototype Die Designer

We are seeking an experienced Prototype Die & Fixture Designer to support increased project workload. This position is specifically focused on prototype tooling and fixtures — not production die design. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on design experience within a prototype tooling environment and be able to work independently on projects.

• Design prototype dies and tooling from concept through completion
• Design prototype assembly fixtures
• Develop detailed 3D models and drawings using CATIA or NX
• Review part data, specifications, and project requirements to develop appropriate tooling solutions
• Work closely with engineering, toolmakers, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are functional and buildable
• Make design modifications and troubleshoot tooling/fixture issues as projects progress
• Manage multiple design projects based on workload and customer deadlines

• 5+ years of prototype die/tooling design experience
• Must be proficient with CATIA or NX
• Strong understanding of tooling, fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to take a project from initial requirements through completed design
• Must have experience specifically within prototype tooling/die environments; production-die-only experience will not be a fit
